What is social bookmarking?

Social bookmarking allows users to store, organise, search, share and manage bookmarks of their favourite web pages online. Bookmarks are usually public but can be saved privately and shared only with specific people or groups within networks.

How does it work?

If you have enjoyed reading one or more of our articles then you can save them for future reference and share them with friends and colleagues. Simply click on your preferred social bookmarking icon (Digg, Del.icio.us, Facebook, Reddit or Stumbleupon) this will take you to the social bookmarking site to save the web page to your favourites.

Reddit

Like Digg, Reddit is a social news website, where you can post links to content on the web. Other users can then vote the posted links up and down, determining their prominence on the Reddit homepage. reddit.com/help

Facebook

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and family. You can share content and post links on your profile for all your friends to see. facebook.com/about

Stumbleupon

Stumbleupon is a web browser plug-in which lets you discover and rate web pages, photos and videos at the click of the ‘Stumble’ button in your toolbar.
