the OTHER media is delighted that our site for the Zoological Society for London picked up the "Best Website" award in last night's Visit London Awards 2005. We are very proud of our work for ZSL as it combines ecommerce, membership functionality, information publishing and creative design.

It was a big team effort from our end (Anders Orrberg, Chris Harris, Simon Cruddas, Rich Aston, Martin Goode, Matt Taylor, Claire Adams, Habeeb Omosanya, Matt Jeoffroy, Tom Smith, Hajre Hyseni, George Crabb and Jonathan Briggs) with excellent support and ideas from ZSL.

The awards, sponsored by Eurostar, celebrate and reward the capital’s top tourism businesses. Winners had to prove an exceptionally high standard of facilities and customer service.

The site is run by editors and shop staff at London Zoo using our content management and shop system, OTHERobjects CMS and provides information for Whipsnade, London Zoo and the Society itself.

We love the freshness of the content that is added regularly and the great images used through out the site.

ZSL generate revenue from sales of gifts and toys within the site but also through online ticketing, online animal adoptions and annual memberships. Building the site involved integration with ticketing, CRM and membership systems and this was perhaps the biggest technical challenge.

We hope that our ecommerce, ticketing and membership work contributed to the success in the same awards for the Natural History Museum which won "Best Family Friendly Experience".
