the OTHER media launches new Ecover and WaterAid site

Written 22.06.08 by: Sally Smith

Ecover, the leading manufacturer of ecological detergents and cleaning products, has been working closely with the OTHER media over the past few months to design and build an exciting new website which supports Ecover’s new partnership with international charity, WaterAid.

Ecover Water Aid

The site seeks to raise awareness about the issues of water sustainability and promote Ecover’s three-year partnership with WaterAid.In partnership, Ecover and WaterAid will address the vital need for safe water and sanitation: both at project-level in Ethiopia and on the wider plain of public awareness.

The new website forms part of a wider integrated marketing strategy supporting the launch of Ecover’s partnership with WaterAid. The partnership will be promoted on 1.5 million Ecover packs in July/August 2008. Each promotional pack will drive visitors to the website to discover more about Ecover/WaterAid projects in Ethiopia; register for a free water care pack and donate to WaterAid.

The website also brings to life events and stories from Ecover-funded projects with blogs, video diaries and photos. By personalising the experience, visitors will form an emotional bond with the site and projects; encouraging repeat visits, donations and a lasting affinity with WaterAid and Ecover.

The new site design is recognisably Ecover (complementing the company’s existing websites and offline corporate identity) but also unique in its own way, with stylistic touches and more freedom for expression. The website is dual branded, conveying elements of the brand personalities of Ecover and WaterAid.

We are delighted to be working with Ecover and WaterAid on this important website, which will raise awareness about water sustainability and help raise funds to alleviate poverty by enabling the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education.
