Feeding time at the zoo
Written 14.03.07 by: Sally Smith
Five intrepid OTHER media employees have spent the day at ZSL London Zoo, experiencing life as a zoo keeper and learning more about the animal conservation work of our client, the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).
Under the supervision of real life keeper Jane; Claire Adams, Kunal Ramchandani, Louise Millard, Matt Jeoffroy and Ari Pallaris fed the penguins, tigers, monkeys, giraffes and meerkats. During a day of hard, but rewarding, graft the group tossed hay-bales into feeding-troughs six metres above the ground for the giraffes, cleaned out the penguin pool and hid meat around the tiger enclosure.
OTHER media Project Manager for ZSL, Claire Adams, had a great time. “I feel really privileged to have been so close to the animals at London Zoo. The day has given us all a real insight into the work of ZSL and the experience has spawned some great new ideas for the website going forward.”
At the OTHER media we are always keen to understand our clients and their businesses better. Sometimes the best way to do this is by spending a day in their shoes. Take a look at some of the highlights of the day in our photos below.
