British Library signing follows another awards victory for the OTHER media
Press release, December 13 - Digital agency the OTHER media announced today that it has been signed by the British Library to work on two radical online projects.
The London Bridge-based agency has been signed by the British Library for two web-based projects - its English Online website and a First World War hub launched as part of the conflict's centenary in 2014.
George Crabb, MD of the OTHER media, said: "Christmas seems to have come early this year at the OTHER media! To learn that we have won the British Library contract in the very same month that another of our high-profile projects has picked up an award is a genuine bonus to round off the year."
As well as the signing of yet another prestigious client, the agency has also just racked up a hat-trick of awards in as many months. CollinsDictionary.com, developed for client HarperCollins, scooped Website of the Year at the coveted FutureBook Awards held in London on at the start of the month. This follows double award success for the best-selling Wonders of the Universe app, also developed for HarperCollins. The Wonders app won the Best Use of Mobile award in October at the Digital Impact Awards, and a BIMA in November in the Education and Outreach category.
Alex Brown of HarperCollins explained: u201cWe are absolutely thrilled by the FutureBook award for CollinsDictionary.com. It not only recognises Collins as a true digital innovator, but is also testament to the hard work and creativity of Collins’ Glasgow team and those fantastic people at the OTHER media.u201d
George Crabb added: "To scoop three high-profile awards in three months is a reflection of the calibre of the team we have today at the OTHER media. We are very proud of their creativity, expertise and enthusiasm for the projects that we undertake. We have had a very good 2012 and the latest signing as well as another award round things off very nicely indeed. We are looking forward to building on our successes in 2013."
