London web design

Written 25.03.06

London is a city full of world class brands and the OTHER media has been designing ecommerce stores and websites for many of them. Our work is concentrated in four main areas: fashion and retain, museums and visitor attractions, sports and charities. To discuss your web project with us, phone George Crabb on 020 7089 5959 or email george.crabb@othermedia.com.

Fashion and retail

Whether it is the iconic fashion of men's fashion designer, Paul Smith or newer fashion brands such as Myla we specialise in designing ecommerce sites that really show off fashion beautifully, provide customers with a smooth shopping experience and help retailers achieve above average results.

Museums and attractions

London's museums, galleries and visitor attractions are another area where we excel with sites for ZSL London Zoo, ZSL Whipsnade, the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and an online shop for the Natural History Museum. The ZSL site recently won the best website award from Visit London and is nominated for the Visit Britain award.

Sports

We have been working with London's cricket sites for over 10 years: with Lord's, Surrey County Cricket Club (The Oval) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) within our portfolio. These sites combine great web design with ecommerce.

Charities

London's charities and not for profit organisations are also very important to us. Our charity clients include Action for Blind People, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, The Brightside Trust, ASA's Advice Now and the Nuffield Foundation.

design and usability

Working closely with you, we design exciting, cutting edge websites that meet your business objectives, brand guidelines and user needs. We develop site information architecture; map user journeys to personas; develop a distinctive design; form a content strategy; build the site in CSS and xHTML; integrate systems and test extensively.

ecommerce

Customers are becoming more intolerant of poor online shopping experiences: they want fast loading, informative sites with a smooth checkout. At the OTHER media we build bespoke ecommerce sites with customised back end integration and a user-friendly, user-tested front end to maximise conversion, average order value and return on investment.

content management

Our content management system, OTHERobjects is a flexible, browser-based CMS. It has a user-friendly interface allowing for updates by non-technical staff members and a defined workflow to retain central editorial control. New content areas, categories, landing pages and navigation elements can be created by you via OTHERobjects.
