Introducing Tower Homes

Tower Homes is the home ownership and intermediate market specialist within the L&Q Group; managing over 43,000 homes in London and the South East. Tower has been one of the South East’s leading providers of low cost housing since 1989 and has helped over 13,000 buyers take their first step on the ownership ladder.

The challenge

Tower Homes wanted a highly accessible and easy to use site for people with different levels of online experience and accessibility requirements. It was vital for Tower to be able to display their wide array of properties in an intuitive way; making searching and applying for a home straightforward, even for those with disabilities and varying language needs. As part of the L&Q Group, Tower Homes also needed a website that was brand consistent but recognisably different.

What we did

In order to simplify the housing application procedure we began by consolidating Tower’s properties into one central database. Tower employees were empowered to manage all the property details via our Content Management System, OTHER objects. Site visitors could then search the database using a variety of search fields. We also introduced functionality which allowed residents to report a repair, thus speeding up vital Tower Homes’ business processes.

The results

We have created a clean, engaging site which allows visitors easy access to the information that they need, including extensive property listings and clear guidelines on housing assistance eligibility. The site shares the common-branding of the L&Q Group but also has its own distinct character, thereby reinforcing and building trust amongst new and returning visitors.
