Paul Smith
Iconic fashion designer Paul Smith founded his first store in 1970, today his 12 collections are wholesaled to 35 countries. Paul Smith chose the OTHER media to build his first online ecommerce store.
What Paul Smith needed
Any great fashion brand needs the site to reflect the way the brand is presented offline. This means that the look and feel of the site must take precedence over simply selling products.
But Paul Smith also wanted revenue and this means high online visibility, a smooth shopping experience and integration with the company's business processes.
What the OTHER media did
For this and many other projects we worked closely with the in-house design team with many iterations through the design until it was right. The site needed to be about Paul Smith, his ideas and his fashion as well as an online store.
We built the site and the store using OTHERobjects CMS and our OTHERcommerce extensions to it. This gave us full control over the specific customer experience for the site and allowed us to add additional features such as supporting telephone ordering and order management.
The results
The site has been highly success with many visitors, customers and growing revenue.
We are now working with the company exploring tighter supply-chain integration, new ways of presenting the collections and new mechanisms for keeping the customers involved.
