Natural History Museum Shop
Ecommerce is becoming vital to museums, galleries and visitor attractions to generate additional income and to build stronger regular relationships with visitors.
London's Natural History Museum asked us to help build a shop to integrate with their recently relaunced site. The branding was redeveloped last year and the new site works within a third party content management system.
We worked within both a technology and design framework to provide an Ecommerce site handling gift sales, donations and ticketing.
Many ecommerce developers want to start from scratch and "own" the whole solution but this can be ineffective for organisations that have already invested in current systems.
Our goals were to integrate these systems and to suppliment them with components from our software. This has resulted in a shop for their site that fits well within their overall brand personality and creates the foundations for the development of overall "visitor journeys" encouraging participation in the museum as well as commerce.
