We have scored a hat-trick of success in the Apps List, from The Sunday Times. Our apps for ECB Cricket and the Football League both make it into this year’s coveted round-up of the best current apps around – while our own app, Can I Eat It?, developed with the highly-regarded food writer Martin Isark, is also singled out for praise. The trio of hits in the list further proves that the OTHER media is well on the way to being one of London’s most successful and creative digital agencies today.

Reviewed by Lindsey Fryatt, she writes of Can I Eat It?: “Allergies, diet or religious beliefs can make shopping a label-checking chore. This barcode-scanning app speeds up the process by serving up essential information on ingredients. The database is fairly extensive when it comes to well-known Brands and supermarkets, and you can set exacting criteria, including gluten and nut content, halal and kosher choices and fair-trade and organic information.” The app is available for iPhone from the AppStore for £1,99.

Tom Dunmore dubs ECB Cricket (for iPhone, Android and Blackberry) a “slick app” with “a classy-looking scoreboard providing live updates from England’s matches, and the option of alerts when wickets fall, even if the app isn’t running. There are plenty of photos, podcasts and even video highlights from all of England’s games – excellent service from a free app.”

Stuart Dredge singles out our Football League Clubs’ App (iPhone and Android) for the newspaper’s prestigious annual app round-up. “If you follow a team in England’s second-tier league, there’s an official app for you. The basic version is free, with news on each club, live scores, podcasts and social features. Pay £1.49 a month via subscription, and you get additional video news and match highlights, as well as stadium maps.”
