New Ecover Extreme40 Sailing website launched by the OTHER media

the OTHER media is pleased to reveal its new socially-driven website to promote eco-friendly brand Ecover’s Extreme40 Sailing Team. The site is a break from the norm, using tumble-down functionality to stream content from social networking sites such as Facebook, Flickr and YouTube.
Extreme40 is fast paced and exciting sailing at its best, with ten teams fighting it out during a series of six races held around Europe. Sponsoring an Extreme40 boat is a new tack for Ecover who previously sponsored Mike Golding in the Vendee Globe: the aim being to connect with a younger demographic. Ecover thus wanted an attractive and dynamic site that would appeal to the 20s and 30s demographic, interested in extreme sports, to support their offline promotional activity.
The Ecover Extreme40 website tracks every inch of the six-event series with photo uploads, real time tweets, Facebook stories, video sharing via YouTube and standard articles created using our Content Management System OTHERobjects. The site also features Extreme40 competitions and newsletter registration to reward users for their loyalty.
The site is designed to bring the experiences of the Ecover crew to life – before, during and after each race. The homepage is extremely flexible allowing for build-up content, live action and post-race summaries for each of the six races.
